Actress Emily Hall chatted about her new Netflix holiday film “A Merry Little Ex-Mas,” where she stars alongside Pierson Fode and Alicia Silverstone.

The synopsis is: Recently divorced Kate (Alicia Silverstone) is determined to pull off one last perfect family holiday before selling her beloved home.

When her ex-husband Everett (Oliver Hudson) shows up with his younger, picture-perfect new girlfriend, Kate’s holiday dream spirals into chaos.

Filming the holiday movie

On her new Netflix holiday movie, she exclaimed, “It was awesome. Filming it was so much fun! There was actually snow on the ground, so it was as realistic for filming a Christmas movie as you can get, and we got it. Overall, it was a great experience.”

Playing Sienna

On playing Sienna, Hall said, “I really loved how Sienna lets people be who they are, and I think that that’s really fun.”

“It’s fun to play because oftentimes, if you’re the zany character, you get to do a lot of things, but then you also get to help other people shine by embracing them,” she noted.

Working with Pierson Fode

On working with Pierson Fode, she said, “Working with Pierson was awesome. He is the nicest person you will ever meet.”

The digital age

On being a part of the digital age, she said, “I guess it’s what I know. So, I don’t have much other of a framework. I feel like I would have done really well in the ‘70s though.”

Advice for young and aspiring actors

For young and emerging actors, she said, “You’re going to have to be your own champion. So, be ready to constantly be hyping yourself up.”

Future plans

On her future plans, she shared, “Right now, I actually just shot a proof of concept for a feature film that I’ve written. I’m looking into getting that made.”

“Ideally, I would also like to have my own dog rescue,” she added.

Superpower of choice

If she were to have any superpower, it would be to “talk to animals.”

On the title of the current chapter of her life, she revealed, “Renaissance.”

Most recently, she was featured on “Pop Culture Unplugged” with Elias, where she spoke about her new Netflix movie. “That was awesome,” she admitted. “I had a great time talking with Elias.”

For her fans and supporters, she remarked, “Thank you so much. Hopefully, this is just the beginning. I am so excited to continue this journey.”

For her fans and viewers, Hall expressed about the film, “I would love for them to take away that everybody is still a person no matter what your initial judgment of them is. They are still a person, and they have a whole life underneath.”
