Fourier’s Tiny GR-3 ‘Baby Version’ Care-Bot Steps Into the Spotlight at CES

Fourier GR3 Baby Version Care-Bot
Along with its GR-3 Care-Bot, Fourier debuted a miniature version at CES 2026, which piqued everyone’s interest. The “Baby Version” of the GR-3 squishes the original concept down to doll size while retaining the same pleasant and conversational mood that made its larger counterpart so famous.

Walking into the LVCC North Hall, guests will notice this small robot perched on a table, just begging for a conversation. When you stroke it on the head, it will tilt its head up lovingly in response, making you feel as if you’ve known it for ages. Take a step back or turn your head, and the robot will follow with smooth, soft twists that make each interaction feel extremely intimate.

When they originally showed off the life-sized GR-3, it stood around 165 cm tall and included all the bells and whistles, including improved sensors for vision, hearing, and touch. That model could hold a conversation, watch your motions, identify the smallest gestures, and even respond with the appropriate body language. It was designed with one purpose in mind: locations where companionship is essential, such as nursing homes, rehab facilities, or even homes where someone requires a little additional company.

The baby version employs the same concepts and reduces them to size. This tiny number, which is still under active development, uses the GR-3’s multimodal interaction system; speech locates the person speaking to it, visual tracking keeps it focused on you, and light touch sensors get it to react in the proper way. Fourier characterizes it as a robot that is always available to you, but not in an overbearing way. More functions are in the works, but it already appears to have promise for usage in everyday settings when a large robot would be too much.

You can also customize it to your heart’s content; the doll-sized form allows you to change its appearance and dress it up like a collectible. You may also choose how it interacts, so it can be your greatest friend for some and a more serious partner for others. Fourier describes this tiny robot as an experiment in super-light, super-easy emotional support, something you can put on a shelf or a table and have available 24 hours a day.
