Saudi Arabia’s CEER EV Captured in Spy Shots, Boasts Wedge-Shaped Design

The wedge-shaped electric SUV from Saudi Arabia’s CEER Motors has finally seen the light of day, and what a head turner it is, like a lost concept car that somehow made it into production. Spy images reveal a car with razor-sharp edges, a near-flat windshield that would make even the most experienced racing drivers jealous, and a tremendously low stance that screams aggressive performance machine.
CEER Motors initially appeared on the scene in 2022, when they declared themselves as Saudi Arabia’s first domestic EV manufacturer. They received big name backing in the form of the Public Investment Fund, and Foxconn is presently manufacturing their vehicles. The entire operation is a significant component of the Saudi government’s Vision 2030 project, which aims to reduce oil addiction and instead develop local jobs and enterprises. They’re building a new plant at King Abdullah Economic City and hope to begin producing cars in the fourth quarter of 2026, so when the first models, including this SUV, do hit the market, they’ll be in Saudi Arabia and the wider Middle East first.

The designers have given this SUV a striking new appearance that evokes some of the funky 70s show cars we used to see on the catwalks of the past. The designers have equipped it with some ingenious technology to keep it cool in the desert heat, such as an infrared-reflective coating, acoustic layers to keep it as silent as a mouse, and a strip of tint on top for added style. It’s also been equipped out with enormous thick pieces of cladding and a higher suspension to make you think it’s off-road capable, as well as some triangle wheel highlights and skinny lighting that just adds to that retro-futuristic vibe when you look at it.
CEER has partnered with several industry heavyweights to make this a reality. Hyundai Transys is providing the tiny three-in-one electric drive system, which combines the motor, inverter, and gear reduction into a sleek device designed for efficiency. Rimac has contributed certain high-performance parts for their high-performance vehicles, and the platform also includes a few BMW-licensed components. We don’t know the precise numbers for power output, battery size, or range yet, but you can bet it will have a real kick to it, complete with an 800-volt design.
