2003 Hummer H1 Reimagined by Parker Brothers Concepts Looks Out of This World

Parker Brothers Concepts has established a reputation for producing automobiles that elevate the standard custom car to new heights. This creation, simply known as The Boss, transforms a 2003 Hummer H1 into something that would be difficult to mistake for the original, even if you were standing next to it.

The Boss appears to be one giant angular jumble (or Dark Knight Tumbler) from every perspective, yet in a positive way. In order to conceal the diesel engine, a very steeply sloped front end dips far down, creating a silhouette that only gets more aggressive as it moves forward. The headlights include some extremely sharp cuts next to large airflow channels that facilitate airflow over the object. A number of exposed suspension components are purposefully protruding to further emphasize the “mechanical beast” appearance.

If you intend to take the Boss off the beaten path, the enormous wheel wells that spread out to the sides are filled with 44-inch super swamper tires. The enormous size of the tires also adds to the car’s overall imposing appearance. The specially made wheels for this purpose fit into those wells flawlessly and simply enhance the overall “I’m really, really large and mean” look. Plus, the entire surface is covered in a durable Raptor liner coating that is intended to withstand knocks and scratches during heavy use.

The rear doors, which are hinged at the far back and open straight back for greater access when you’re in a tight location, swing open in an unusual manner. If you were wondering what the exhaust pipes were doing, they went through the back of the vehicle and out just beyond the roofline, which is really rather similar to what you see in many high-performance sports cars. It should help clear the fumes by coming out that high.

The interior of the cabin differs greatly from the typical H1 configuration; the terms “narrow” and “utilitarian” don’t even come close. very, you get two large, roomy seats that are covered in rich red upholstery, which really makes the entire space feel very opulent. Red dash surfaces and trim cover almost every visible area of the cabin, contributing to the bold, immersive atmosphere. If you were wondering what you would even be looking at, the primary infotainment screen is a tablet located directly above the basic manual climate controls.

The original 6.5-liter turbo diesel V8 engine provides the power, mated to an automatic transmission and full-time four-wheel drive. The drivetrain is still quite dependable for both road and trail travel, especially as the chassis has just roughly 20,000 miles on it. Next month, Mecum’s Kissimmee auction will include this unique build.
