Louis Saha has revealed his top-four prediction ahead of the return of the Premier League this weekend.

Arsenal will look to maintain their four-point lead at the top of the table on Sunday when they face Tottenham in the north London derby.

Second-placed Manchester City, who thumped Liverpool 3-0 before the international break, visit Newcastle United.

Chelsea, currently third, travel to Burnley while defending champions Liverpool will be desperate to get back to winning ways at home to Nottingham Forest.

Manchester United, meanwhile, will attempt to extend their unbeaten run tosix games when they play host to Everton at Old Trafford.

‘I’m not a big supporter of Arsenal winning it so I don’t know. It’s a tough one,’ ex-Premier League striker Saha told OLBG when asked for his top-four prediction.

‘I will say that, yes, when you look at it now, Arsenal are definitely better equipped and they will get better.

‘You could imagine you always have the threat to have a great start of the season and then drop. But at the moment that looks unlikely.

‘You still feel like Chelsea with all those youngsters getting more experience and confidence will get there. Who knows? They could surprise us and have a big run and come second.

‘You always think Man City, wherever they are, and Liverpool, they will be there. I hope, this is the target, that Man United are going to be there to get into Europe.

‘I always feel like when you have those types of players at Man United, if they click then we can get back into Europe.

Louis Saha’s top-six prediction

  1. Arsenal
  2. Chelsea
  3. Manchester City
  4. Liverpool
  5. Manchester United
  6. Tottenham

‘Could they be title contenders? I don’t think so but I can see them finishing in the top-five.’

Meanwhile, Ruben Amorim has revealed how Sir Jim Ratcliffe ‘completely changed’ Manchester United’s season.

It appeared only a matter of time before Amorim would be sacked by his bosses at Old Trafford after a poor start to the season.

Amorim’s side finished just 15th in the Premier League last term and any hopes of salvaging a dismal campaign by winning the Europa League ended as the Red Devils were beaten in the final by Tottenham.

A quick start to the season following a productive summer transfer window looked imperative but Manchester United lost four of their first seven games.

If league defeats to Arsenal, Manchester City and Brentford were not bad enough, United also suffered an embarrassing loss to League Two side Grimsby Town in the Carabao Cup.

It was even suggested Amorim would lose his job during the October international break if his team lost at home to Sunderland, but a 2-0 win kept the wolf from the door.

Manchester United then produced four promising results before the next international break in November, sealing a rare win over arch-rivals Liverpool at Anfield before thumping Brighton.

Amorim’s side twice came from behind to draw 2-2 with Nottingham Forest and Tottenham in their previous two games before they return to action on Monday night against Everton.

United’s form has put them back into Champions League contention and Amorim believes public support from Ratcliffe in October ‘completely changed’ the mood around Old Trafford.

Ratcliffe gave an interview to The Times in early October in which he said it could take Amorim three years to make the impact he wants at the Theatre of Dreams.

The comments helped quell some of the pressure on Amorim and had a ‘huge impact’ on the club, according to the former Sporting manager.

‘If you remember when Jim gave the interview, it settled down a lot around the club,’ Amorim, who took over at Manchester United just over a year ago, told Stan Sport.

‘The noise around the club changed completely and that was really important for the team and it’s really important for the team and me.

‘It had a huge impact – not on the way I do things – but on the way people see what we are doing. So it was massive for us.’

Amorim insisted he was not worried about losing his job but says Ratcliffe’s backing nevertheless made a big difference.

‘It’s always really important – but it’s more important for the fans to understand we have a clear path and we are going to continue to follow it,’ he added.

‘For me it doesn’t change much – I’m not worried about losing my job. It’s a good thing to hear but it will not change anything in the way I behave. I know clearly which path I have to go.’

Manchester United’s home game against Everton on Monday will be a year to the day since Amorim’s first match in charge of the club.

Reflecting on a turbulent year in the Old Trafford hot-seat, Amorim said: ‘It’s been a journey, I’ve learned a lot.

‘Sometimes you think we are too young and you are just winning – then you face a different result, way of people seeing your job, what you are doing.

‘Its hard sometimes but you learn a lot. I think I’m a better manager now and I’m ready for the future and the present.

‘A really tough journey but I see it was necessary and we are in a better place because of it.’

Manchester United could possibly climb to third in the Premier League if results this weekend go their way.
