Russo-Balt F200 is the Tesla Cybervan That Elon Musk Would Never Make

No, this isn’t the rumored Cybervan, but rather the Russo-Balt F200, a full-size electric van built from unpainted stainless steel with a sharp, angular form clearly influenced by the Cybertruck. We’ve all been waiting for a Tesla van for years, but until now, there has been nothing. Now, a Russian entrepreneur has stepped in to create a near-miss that should fill the void.

Russo-Balt has a long history, having revived the name of a company that built cars and railway carriages in the 1900s. The modern crew, on the other hand, has a background in manufacturing stainless steel water coolers, so they are familiar with the material. And it shows: the panels are hand-welded together to form a one-piece’monocoque’ chassis rather than the standard ladder frame, giving it all the extra stiffness it requires for carrying a load.

The van comes with a raw metal finish by default, which is fine, but if you want to dress it up, there are extra wraps in any colour or pattern you choose. The F200 is nearly 6 meters long, 2 meters wide, and 2.55 meters tall, providing enough space inside for most adults to stand up straight. The front wheels are powered by a single 200 horsepower electric motor, and the 115kWh battery provides a stated 400km range (about 249 miles). A quick charger port is located on the front fender, making it simple to recharge.

It can tow a decent 1,000 kg payload, and the basic kit isn’t half bad, with ABS, stability control, climate control, rear air suspension, a 360-degree video system that streams live to your screens, and heated seats, steering wheel, mirrors, and even wipers. For entertainment, a 14-inch touchscreen controls the van’s equipment and enables access to Russian streaming services such as Rutube and VKvideo via Yandex.

They clearly have Russian winters in mind, however, as they include heated surfaces to keep things functional in the deep frost. The stainless steel is also an excellent choice because it promises to be extremely durable and comes with a 100-year corrosion warranty. Production is done on a made-to-order basis; delivery begin in January 2027. The cost is 6.5 million rubles, or around $85,200, with a tiny, refundable payment of 10,000 rubles to secure a seat in line.

The F200 is already on public roads in Russia, proving that it is more than simply a concept design. To be honest, it will receive some help, as a follow-up model, the F400, is in the works. The F400 will include all-wheel drive via dual motors, 400 horsepower, a range-extending gas engine, and an updated front air suspension.
