In Case of a Zombie Apocalypse, You’ll Want to be Riding in a 2026 GXV Epic Expedition Vehicle

The 2026 GXV Epic is more than just a getaway vehicle. Built on a rebuilt Kenworth K370 4×4 chassis, you’ll find a very practical living area that has been thoughtfully designed to keep you comfortable throughout long periods of off-grid travel, or a zombie apocalypse.
A 6.7-liter Cummins turbo-diesel engine with 660 pound-feet of torque powers the vehicle, allowing it to move easily through any terrain. That power is routed through a six-speed Allison automatic transmission, giving you plenty of control. They’ve also included an unusual 4×4 system with high and low range transfer cases, front and rear locking differentials, and a 50:1 crawl ratio, allowing you to crawl over tough terrain at your own leisure.

Size is just one of the indicators that this vehicle was designed with big adventures in mind; it’s 30 feet 2 inches long, 12 feet 5 inches tall, and a substantial 8 feet wide. You’ll also like the 11.5 inches of ground clearance, which is backed by long-lasting King off-road shocks, sturdy forged aluminium wheels, and massive Bridgestone L315 tires. Recovery equipment includes a 20,000-pound ComeUp winch, an onboard air compressor, and some fairly extensive lighting; we’re talking a 360-degree arrangement that will allow you to see precisely what you’re getting into.

The GXV Epic prioritizes comfort. The design is intended for two people, but it can accommodate up to four – and there is even sleeping space for four people. The back RV queen bed is 60 by 80 inches, and there are some practical additions like a huge skylight, blackout shade, reading lights, wireless chargers, and power outlets on both sides. The dinette up front converts into a full-size bed (50 by 91 inches) and has four adult seats. As for storage, let’s just say there’s enough of it to be found under seats and along the walls, as well as various cupboards and other items.

The kitchen is well-designed, with Corian countertops, a stainless steel sink, a 6-cubic-foot Vitrifrigo refrigerator with a 2.1-cubic-foot freezer, a dual-burner induction cooktop, and a convection microwave oven. Integration is key, so you’ll find a combo washer-dryer unit, a TV with soundbar, and even climate control thanks to a 15,000-BTU Truma air conditioner, Aqua-Hot 65,600-BTU hydronic heating with four air handlers, and, of course, insulation in the 60mm vacuum-sealed composite walls and dual-pane Armour Vision windows.

Even after the grid fails, power continues to flow. The Mastervolt system includes a rather generous 18 kWh of storage, which is topped up with a seriously powerful 1,980 watts of bi-facial solar panels, a 4,500 watt inverter, and a whisper silent 6,000 watt Onan diesel generator that starts as soon as it detects a power outage. A touch screen CZone interface is in control of power distribution, water levels, and keeping the lights on – which is precisely what they do.

Water systems allow you to stay still for weeks on end. The freshwater tank holds 120 gallons, while the greywater tank may hold 40 gallons. And, yes, you can flush your 4.75 gallon cassette toilet with fresh water. A Gizzy H2O water purifying system keeps you hydrated, and an on-demand water heater allows you to take warm showers. The bathroom is a true wet-dry setup, measuring approximately 32 by 65 inches, and has a shower, sink, and everything else you’d expect to see, as well as a skylight and heated drying register.

Exterior elements are also important, such as the 16-foot automated awning with built-in LED lights, which serves as an ideal outside extension of your living space. When you need to get items out of the garage, which is conveniently accessible via the rear garage doors, you can slide it out on the 800-pound cargo tray, which includes 110v power and lights. An electronic entry step makes it much easier to get in and out, and an exterior door allows you to move items from your truck to your living space without leaving your vehicle. Just in case you decide to go it alone, we’ve provided a Starlink ready package with everything you need, including a roof mount for a smooth connection.

People finance this beast in the same manner they would a typical RV, over a lengthy period of time with a large loan, especially given the high price of $799,785. Then then, you’re receiving high-quality components like marine-grade wiring and bits that won’t need to be replaced for a long time, such as replaceable parts that can be swapped out at any RV, truck, or marine shop.
