Fallout’s Wasteland Invades Magic: The Gathering Again

Fallout Magic The Gathering MTG Secret Lair 2026
Magic: The Gathering fans who delved into the Fallout Commander decks from last year understand how enticing those radioactive cards can be. Wizards of the Coast is bringing the apocalypse back, but this time with a new set of Secret Lair drops. This collection, dubbed the Rad Superdrop (as the name implies), has 22 cards spread across a variety of themed bundles. You can get your hands on these when sales begin on January 26 at 9 a.m. PT, an hour before the pre-queue starts.

Lucy Maclean, The Ghoul, and Maximus will all make their Magic debuts in the lead drop, Secret Lair x Fallout: Beyond Vault 33. That means three new card designs to look forward to, as well as reprints of Pre War Formalware, Spirit Mantle, and T-45 Power Armor, now known as T-60 Power Armor. Lucy is an excellent fit for trash token strategies in the Scrappy Survivors deck, as she allows you to replicate your opponent’s tokens and draw extra cards. The Ghoul, on the other hand, is ideal for adding rad counters to your Mutant Menace deck whenever a zombie or mutant dies. Then there’s Maximus, a 4 mana 4/4 red trampler that looks for low-cost equipment, making him handy in almost any red deck.

Secret Lair x Fallout: Rad is as full of radiation as you’d imagine, with The Wise Mothman taking center stage. It includes a number of new cards, including Ripples of Potential, Mutational Advantage, Mindcrank, and a redesigned Mesmeric Orb known as Mothman Egg. The Mothman Egg is the 13th most popular Commander, according to EDHREC. When played, it mills cards, boosting your creatures. Meanwhile, Mutational Advantage hexproofs any permanents you have floating counters on, and Ripples increases those counters for you.

To top it all off, the Deck of Many Things is reinvented as a Custom Caravan Deck, because who doesn’t enjoy a nice caravan?
