Subway Surfers City Arrives February 26, Lets Fans Chase the Next High Score in Subway City

Subway Surfers City will be available on iOS and Android starting February 26th. Pre-registration begins today on the App Store and Google Play. SYBO Games presents this as the next chapter for the original endless runner, which has been continuing strong for 14 years, with 4.5 billion downloads and between 100 and 150 million active players every month.
Players return to their hometown of Subway City, a busy multicultural thoroughfare with four unlockable areas: The Docks, Southline, Sunrise Blvd, and Delorean Park. Each of these four districts has new routes to race on, as well as several obstacles and shortcuts to discover. As the seasons change, more of the city is unlocked, bringing new neighborhoods, characters, clothes, and hoverboards to keep things interesting.

The classic Endless mode remains a thrilling adventure as you dodge trains and collect coins for a high score. The roads twist and tumble in such a way that even after 100 or more attempts, you can still find new methods to outperform your past runs. City Tour introduces a new level of difficulty by assigning goals and assignments to achieve, as well as hidden stars across the city. Events rotate, and for a limited period, you’ll need to use your precision to win the best rewards.

The controls are simple: swipe up to jump, down to slide, and left or right to change lanes. Speed pads will blast your runner ahead at full speed, allowing you to get out of tight situations, while a well-timed stomp can reveal cash or hidden boosts. The bouncy bubblegum shield you’ve all grown to love performs an excellent job of transforming jumps into high-flying acrobatics and bouncing off objects rather than crashing.

Classic characters like Jake return with sharper designs and some very intriguing new skills that are unique to each character and their hoverboard. Upgrading your character is essential for performing well in trials, where you get three opportunities to beat the event and stretch your limitations. Keys can unlock super boxes, which contain tokens, currencies, and even more upgrades. As an added bonus, daily deals allow you to buy progress with coins without spending any more money.
The original Subway Surfers will continue to be updated every three weeks, allowing you to experience both titles concurrently. Subway Surfers City works offline for basic runs, but some events require you to be connected. You can play for free, and then make in-app payments to speed up the unlocking process.
