Bournemouth vs Arsenal LIVE: Premier League latest score and goal updates | Football
Arsenal are out to extend their lead at the summit of the Premier League again against Bournemouth tonight.
The Gunners passed another stern examination of their title credentials with flying colours last Tuesday, hammering third place Aston Villa at the Emirates.
A draw for Manchester City at Sunderland on New Year’s Day means Mikel Arteta’s side are four point clear at the top.
While they lost home and away to today’s opposition last season, Bournemouth are without a win in their last 10 games.
Metro’s LIVE matchday blog will bring you all the build-up, confirmed team news and starting XIs, goal updates and minute-by-minute coverage.

Misfiring Gunners
Just two shots on target from both sides in that first-half.
Arsenal have not had a shot of any kind since the 18th minute. Shocking.
Half-time! Bournemouth 1-1 Arsenal
Bournemouth may have been gifted the opener but they have been by far the better side this evening.
Aside from Gabriel’s equaliser, Arsenal have done absolutely nothing.
Big half-time talks for both sides.
45 mins: Bournemouth 1-1 Arsenal
Better from the Gunners who look to release Gyokeres on the right flank. He has the pace to hold off his man but can’t get enough power on the cross to find his teammate in the middle.
Two minutes added on for the first-half.
43 mins: Bournemouth 1-1 Arsenal
Bournemouth are making Arsenal look very average.
Arteta is not impressed and he will almost certainly be making changes at half-time
38 mins: Bournemouth 1-1 Arsenal
Rice risks dissent by demanding the referee show Semenyo a second yellow for holding him back while on the counter-attack.
It was risky from the forward but ultimately a fair challenge. No foul.

Chance for Bournemouth!
Great play on the right from Kluivert who crosses low and Arsenal’s defence doesn’t notice Tavernier ghosting into the box.
He manages a first-time shot but it’s at an awkward angle and loops over the bar.
28 mins: Bournemouth 1-1 Arsenal
Semenyo is the first player into the book.
He clips Hincapie’s heels on the halfway line. Free-kick? Yes. Yellow card? No, that’s a bit harsh.
24 mins: Bournemouth 1-1 Arsenal
Full credit to Bournemouth, they are not going to make this easy for Arsenal.
They’re pressing incredibly well out of possession and playing some lovely stuff when they have the ball.
Jimenez sends in a teasing cross but Tavernier’s header flashes wide of the post.
18 mins: Bournemouth 1-1 Arsenal
Bournemouth don’t clear a corner and Madueke leaves Semenyo for dust as he gets into the box.
He passes to Hincapie whose shot is blocked. Martinelli’s rebound is blocked and then the ball lands for Gabriel who smashes in the equaliser.
Game on!

After some good play, Kluivert has a go from the edge of the box but it just curls away from the goal at the last second!

I can’t believe my eyes! Gabriel – under no pressure whatsoever – has just passed the ball straight to Evanilson in the box!

So good until the finish!
Fancy feet from Madueke who glides into the box from the right and has the beating of his marker.
He finds himself in the centre of the box with room to shot but blazes over the bar!

After that early pressure, Arsenal have gained control of the game but can’t break down the home defence.
Odegaard decides to have a pop from range but his effort is high, wide and not so handsome.

Kick-off!
And we’re off!
Chris Kavanagh is the referee with Paul Tierney on VAR duty.
Players out of the tunnel
Here we go!
The players walk out to a loud but very cold Vitality Stadium.
Premier League table
A few minutes from kick-off, let’s have a quick think about the Premier League table.
Victory for Arsenal will move them six points clear of the top. Manchester City have the chance to reduce the gap when they play manager-less Chelsea on Sunday.
As for Bournemouth, they’ll stay 15th in the table no matter the result – well, unless they win by eight goals.
Why Havertz is missing
Kai Havertz returned from injury to the Arsenal bench for their last game but is not in the squad at all today.
Thankfully for the Gunners, the German forward has not suffered a fresh injury blow.
Mikel Arteta says it is simply a case of ‘managing his full return’
