Review: A taste of Tuscanese cuisine at House of Domes in New York City

On December 29th, this journalist had the chance to dine at House of Domes in New York City, for dinner. Vilfred Hodoj serves as the executive chef.
Appetizers
One’s culinary journey at House of Domes begins with its hors d’oeuvres.
Seafood lovers ought to try their “Fritto Mare E Terra,” which is made up of crispy fried calamari, shrimp, zucchini slices, and shishito peppers, accompanied with marinara dipping sauce.

An equally noteworthy appetizer is their “Gamberi e fagioli,” which features Grilled shrimp, Cannellini beans, and diced cherry tomato slices.

Main course
As an entrée, their “Tagliata Di Manzo” (sliced prime New York strip steak) was juicy and tender as it was served with its own truffle mushroom sauce, and accompanied with roasted potatoes.
The “Tagliata Di Manzo” dish alone is worth the trip to House of Domes. The mushrooms and roasted potatoes were just as impressive as the steak meat.
Pasta

Fans of pasta will be smitten by their “Pistachio pesto e funghi,” which is made up of homemade fusilli, Mushrooms, and pistachio pesto sauce.
The mushrooms and the pistachio pesto helped elevate this dish to a higher level.

Side dishes
Their “Asparagi” (sautéed asparagus) is a healthy choice for a side dish, while their “Patate Fritte All’tartufo” (truffle potato fries) were crunchy and well-seasoned.

Dessert
As a dessert choice, their “Crème brûlée” is scrumptious and creamy. It is the ideal pastry to have with a cup of tea or coffee as one concludes their culinary visit at House of Domes.

The Verdict
Overall, House of Domes is an exceptional fine dining restaurant in the heart of SoHo, Manhattan.There is a rawness and authenticity to its Tuscan-Italian cuisine like no other, and all of the pasta is handmade daily on the premises.
Every dish was well-executed, where the presentation of each meal was artistic and creative. Their pasta was flavorful, their seafood was fresh, and the ambiance was elegant and cozy.
The flavors, ingredients, and textures of the Tuscanese cuisine are rich and vibrant. The wait staff was courteous, knowledgeable, and attentive to the patrons’ needs. House of Domes is superb, and it garners an A rating. Bravo.
