Sam Page talks about his new Great American Family film, working with Cindy Busby

Actor Sam Page chatted about his new Great American Family holiday film “There’s No Place Like Christmas” and working with Canadian actress Cindy Busby.

This new original movie will premiere on Sunday, November 30th on the Great American Family network.

Sam Page is known for his roles in shows such as “Mad Men,” “All My Children,” “Gossip Girl,” “Desperate Housewives,” and “The Bold Type.”

The synopsis is: Big city realtor, Grace Sawyer (Cindy Busby) returns to her hometown of Evergreen Falls to lead the local realty office, just as the team nears an annual sales goal that would win them a dream vacation.

On Grace’s first day, she accidentally ruins a once-in-a-year sunset photo for local photographer Luke Davies (Sam Page), who also shoots listings for the agency.

Will a chance at owning her dream home and snagging a permanent role managing the firm in her small town lead Grace to love and a future she never expected.

Page on his new holiday movie

On being a part of this movie, Page remarked, “Although Cindy’s character doesn’t dislike Christmas, I think she’s very distracted from enjoying the holiday, whether it’s trying to get her parents, who are stuck in their travels, and may or may not make it.”

“Then, a lot of work that she’s cutting into distracts her from getting into the Christmas spirit. My character, Luke, really kind of keeps her head in that spirit, which is a lot fun,” he explained.

“I get to be the driving force behind the decorations and the cookies and all that. It’s fun,” he added.

Working with Cindy Busby

On working with Cindy Busby as his leading lady, he exclaimed, “Cindy is the best! She is so talented, very professional, and just easy and fun to work with.”

“When the offer came in fro this movie and they sent the script over, I saw Cindy’s name attached to it and I already said ‘yes’ even prior to reading the script,” he added.

“Cindy is a good buddy to hang out with because we got to do this movie in a 12-day shoot, which is really shockingly short. She has a great attitude and she has such talent. Cindy and our director, Lisa France, and I would find things to do while in Canada. We had so much fun,” he elaborated.

2024 Christmas Con in New Jersey

Page recalled being a part of the 2024 Christmas Con event, which was held in New Jersey last year.

“It was great, and it was fun,” he admitted. “I got to meet a lot of fans of my movies and performances, which always feels good.”

“It also really helps you get in the Christmas spirit,” he admitted. “To see all the other actors, some of whom I’ve worked with and some of whom I’ve known for years. There are so many fun reasons to be there. It’s a really good time.”

Stage of his life

On the title of the current chapter of his life, he revealed, “When it rains, it pours!”

Success

Regarding his definition of the word success, Page said, “The word success means creating further opportunities, whether it’s work or success with parenting. The most successful things you can do with a parent is to create as much time as you can to spend with your kids.”

“Especially when you have a bunch of kids, individual, dedicated attention to them is something that you just really thrive on. Success can mean anything, but to me, it means creating further opportunities and growth,” he elaborated.

“Success is always growth. Learn and take something away from everyone’s gains,” he added.
