Samsung’s Galaxy S25 FE Boasts Flagship Worthy Features at a Budget Price

Samsung Galaxy S25 FE Smartphone
Samsung’s Galaxy S25 FE, priced at $448.99 (was $649.99) for the 128GB edition, is the company’s entry point into the top-tier Galaxy S family without having you to mortgage your home. It comes with Android 16 and One UI 8 already loaded, which is wonderful news for anyone who values obtaining years of software updates, as Samsung guarantees no less than seven years to be exact.

The phone’s design focuses on being practical and, dare we say it, polished. Its body measures 161.3 by 76.6 by 7.4 millimeters and weighs only 190 grams, a significant decrease from its previous FE relative. Give credit to the slimming of the bezels, which now easily meet the 90% screen-to-body ratio magic figure. You receive a hearty dosage of Gorilla Glass. Victus+ on both sides and an Armor Aluminum frame ensure that it can resist whatever life throws at it, which includes the occasional unintentional dip in the bathroom sink, with a confirmed IP68 rating.

The display is, of course, the focal point of any phone, and this model features a 6.7-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X panel. The resolution remains that gorgeous FHD+, while variable refresh rates peak out at 120Hz to keep you browsing smoothly and tapping away. (Though, let’s be honest: it looks great even at 60Hz). The brightness levels are substantially higher outdoors than on some other phones.

When it comes to music, we get stereo speakers that have been tuned with that top-tier Dolby Atmos quality; we have no complaints, and the audio is nice and balanced whether we’re viewing a film or listening to music. (Rant alert: we don’t understand why more and more phones are removing the headphone jack.)

So, what truly gets tech lovers’ blood pumping? The Exynos 2400 processor is built on a 4nm technology and comes with 8GB of RAM to keep things running smoothly as butter. Storage is 128GB, and Samsung took sure to include a “vapor cooling chamber” to keep things cool under duress, but let’s be honest: it won’t be able to compete with the true gaming champion. Regular tasks are always a breeze, and even hard workloads don’t appear to overheat the phone…for the most part.

The battery is a reasonable 4900mAh, which is more than enough to get you through the day, especially with the 6.7-inch screen and several additional features we can’t wait to try. Speaking of which, Super Fast Charging 2.0 delivers up to 45W wired rates, while the wireless alternative manages a decent 15W. Based on the stats and video playback testing, we can expect up to 28 hours of real-world endurance under normal conditions.

Last but not least, the camera on this handset is a standout, with a massive 50-megapixel primary sensor with optical image stabilisation and a modest f/1.8 aperture for those wonderfully detailed shots. A 12-megapixel ultrawide lens captures expansive views, while an 8-megapixel telephoto lens provides 3x optical magnification. Even the front camera, with 12 megapixels, produces great selfies with genuine skin tones. Samsung also includes the ProVisual Engine, which allows for real-time modifications to color, sharpness, and contrast. Oh, and the Galaxy AI tools, which include Generative Edit, Audio Eraser, and Auto Trim, enhance editing options even further. It’s not precisely Adobe Premiere, but we won’t grumble too much.

Samsung Knox handles phone security, with features such as Knox Enhanced Encrypted Protection, which provides a secure vault for crucial data and apps. An in-display fingerprint scanner is really fast, and the face recognition tool is very convenient. If that wasn’t enough, you get Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3, complete 5G connectivity, and a variety of on-device Galaxy AI capabilities to keep things private and quick.
